Well actually, just your head is free

Jun 7, 2012

Hello Everyone!! I hope your week is going well. Mine’s going pretty good. It’s weird being officially out of school. I know it’ll be especially weird when the fall rolls around and my younger friends will be going back to school. I remember when I took a break to tour, when I was 21, my friends went back to school in the spring, it was really super strange. Anyways, my days have been filled with job boards and resume sending. I’ve had three scheduled interviews, one right as I got back from choir tour, one yesterday, and I have one next week.  The Interview next week is for part time work to keep me from going out of my mind with boredom, nothing serious.  I’m one of those people that just can’t stay still, I have to be doing something.

Anyways! This is what I decided to wear today. Super-duper casual. I’m really not much of a shorts person. I’m not the hugest fan of my legs. They’re really white, and they bruise really easy, so I look really gross in shorts, but with these Sacramento summers, sometimes there’s no other option. One of these days I’ll post my interview outfits and you can give me pointers.

I’ve been deciding to take my pictures inside more and more, people have been increasingly walking behind our apartment unit, I don’t know why. I’m not a fan of creepy strangers, so I just keep to myself. Also, I don’t really need people watching me taking pictures of my own self.

Aren’t these shoes great? I know they just look like any ol’ normal pair of loafers, but I’ve been looking for the perfect pair for… months and months, and now, I’ve found some! Hooray!
That’s about it for me today. I gotta get to the airport! Also, heres one more picture from Fish Fest of my husband bringing the metal. I had to add this. His hair is too much. Welp, have a great rest of your day everyone. I’ll see you soon!

Family Faith Festival of Faithful Family Fun

Jun 4, 2012

Hello everyone! So it's nice to be back in blogging commission. I like sharing these things with you, it's kind of like having a reality TV show, but I get to choose what is shared with this crazy world, and no one is putting my life under the magnifying glass and scrutinizing my every move... so I guess it's nothing like a reality show.

ANYWAYS! Here are a few pictures of what I did on Saturday. Nathan's band Kingdom played at a radio festival and it was such a blast! They were the best band there, if I do say so myself. If there is one thing I've learned from this concert. Sing like you mean it! Play like you mean it! That's something Kingdom is really good at, even in 100 degree heat with no shade. Maybe it's because they do mean it. Not to say that the other artists didn't, its just that...well...you couldn't tell. Except for Lincoln Brewster, he also rocked, literally, he's a crazy awesome guitar player.

In case you were wondering, Nathan's hair is naturally gray. And yes, I find him to be the hottest man I have ever seen. I'm so proud of my husband. Kingdom is such a good band, and their new music is so awesome. It's very difficult not to brag.
Also: This little guy came by to give us a visit! Isn't he so cute? He just showed up, and I thought about catching him and keeping him as a pet for a few days. But then I thought: What if that happened to me? I would hate that! So I decided against it. ANYWAYS! That's about it for me today. Outfit posts coming soon!! See you soon!

That last day does not bring extinction to us

Apr 5, 2012

Hello everyone!! Happy Thursday to you. I'm now back in Northern California somehow coping with the fact that I'm not in Disneyland, or Long Beach, or San Diego. What a full and wonderful trip with my super great family! Seriously, couldn't have asked for a more fun vacation. We wandered all over Southern California and laughed, and ate, and back-seat drove (okay, maybe just I did that), and played, and shopped the whole time! It was seriously so great. But every vacation has to end sometime, and you don't want it to last too long, because then you start to hate vacation! sad! Well, here are my last few pictures of my vacation. This is San Diego at the Cabrillo National Monument. Could you imagine a more beautiful day? Nope, me neither.

Nathan is surveying his empire. Ha.

HAHAHA! My dress blew-up like a cupcake. Whoopsie! But look at that sweet boat! You could see the NAVY base from the monument. It was really neat! Thanks boys, (and girls!) for your service!
There was really cute kid exhibit in the visitor's center!
 This was my favorite one.
HA! Of course my brother had to try on this armor!

OKAY... This might have been second to Disneyland on this whole trip. We went down to go check-out the tide pools! Have you ever see one? They are amazing! There are sea-creatures in the crevices of the rocks! It was so great! The animals are all very small and shy (duh, they're wild, not in an aquarium), but they are so wonderful and cool! We saw a really beautiful little purple and green crab, but every time I tried to take a picture, it would go back into his little cave.

here's a little teeny tiny hermit crab!
Nathan was so cute. He love love love loves sea animals, so he was right in his element. He was looking at the crab.

Oh beautiful San Diego. I was sad to say goodbye to by Brothers and Mandi, and my extended family who live down there, but it gives me an excuse to go down there and visit. It was so super wonderful. Here are a few extra pics from the whole of our trip :)

That's it for me today. Back the the real world. See you soon!

Ice Cream For Breakfast

Jan 10, 2012

Hello Everyone!! I hope you're having a great week thus far. It's been pretty uneventful for us thus far. To be honest, thats exactly how I like it. However, I did magage to create a to-do list for my senior recital, and it did kind of spark a mini anxiety explosion, there's so much to do! I Just resolved to worrying about it when the time actually comes. No use in excessive worry! Also, to comfort myself in these last few days of winter break I had a nice huge bowl of ice cream for breakfast. Don't judge! Have you ever had the chocolate fudge and peanut butter ice cream from Target? It tastes exactly like the kind from B&R, which is my very favorite kind! Trust me, in tough times, you would do the same! Wow. I'm hilarious.

Anyways! this is what I decided to wear today! This little dress was screaming my name in the dressing room while I was trying it on. It's so cute! It's actually a racer back tank style, which really makes it sweater friendly. I hate when the 3/4 length sleeves of my dresses get all mushed up in the sleeves of my sweater. Nothing to be concered about with this little beauty. The only thing I'm kicking myself over now is, I now have to find something else to wear for Valentine's day! Wow.... bad planning. Guess I'm just gonna have to find something else :)

This outfit is a 90's extravaganza with this cardigan and dress combo. I don't mind! I happen to love 90's extravaganzas! Any excuse to use the word extravaganza is also not so bad!

Ummmm how fun are these crazy little booties! I found these at Buffalo on Haight during my San Francisco trip! There's no way I could wear these bad boys to work today, so I actually do have to change my shoes later today. They also kind of make me feel like I have horse hooves (hoofs?) when I walk.

Okay, and before I go, I have to share these pictures of our dear friend's little girl, June.  Her dad is always telling me to feature her on this blog, and I honestly don't know why she hasn't shown up on here. I mean... she's a million times more cute than me. She was bringing the metal after youth group on Sunday night. Her dad is the guy with glasses...on the left. Jordan and the guy on the far right, Sean, are also in Kingdom.
Okay. Seriously?! Nathan said he just picked up the book and she just sat right down on his foot! Have you ever seen anything more cute in your whole freaking life? I definitely haven't. This was a very heart-melting moment for me. June and Nathan are best friends. Look at her little hand! ugh! so cute!

Well now that your hearts are all in puddles on the floor, thats about it for me today. I really need to get working on those things on my to-do list. Keep your eyes on the store, there are things added all the time! I hope you all have a great rest of your day! I'll see you soon!

Weekend Update

Nov 15, 2011

Hi Everyone! Happy Tuesday! I hope your week thus far is going great, mine's been pretty nice. I regret not taking any pictures, but yesterday my husband surprised me yesterday with a trip to the bay area! It was so fun. He drove me all the way to Berkeley for Shopping and eating and walking and wonderment. It was so great. I was so distracted by my fun date that I forgot to whip out my camera. Darn. ANYWAYS!! Thats not what this post is about at all!

I wanted to tell you about my weekend! Friday and Saturday of last week my husband  and spent our time at the AG Youth Conference for Northern California and Nevada where his band Kingdom played! Yep, this blog post is definitely a bragging post because I'm so in love with my husband. ANYWAYS, here's a few pictures and a video of what my husband and his friends are all about. They just recorded their full-length CD and I'm really looking forward to it. Maybe you're not into big anthemic music, that's okay. Maybe you're not into worship music, that's also okay. But this is what Nathan and I are into, and we are also into Jesus, so this is perfect for him, and I'm happy to cheer him on.
thats him on the big screen!

Here's the you tube video that I took with my little point and shoot. I'm actually impressed with the quality of video and sound, considering it's not a super great camera. ANYWAYS, my husband is the guy on the right with long hair... I've told you before that he's a pretty metal guy. if you didn't believe me before, maybe this will convince you.

Well everyone thats about it for me today. I've got soooo much homework to do... ugh. 'Tis the season for homework I suppose. I hope you enjoyed the pictures from our weekend. I got lots of fun new clothes this weekend, so new outfit posts shall be coming soon. Hooray! I'll see you soon!

I'm a bit of lunatic with shoes and jackets and jeans

Nov 11, 2011

Hi everyone! Happy Friday everyone! It's finally that day of the week that means no school tomorrow. I know you're thinking, "but didn't you ditch school yesterday?". The answer is yes, but there's a small sense (very small sense) of guilt associated with with ditching school. There's not one ounce of guilt on Saturday, it's just a free day. Well, not totally free, I have homework, but I can do it at starbucks, not at school, which I love!

Anyways, this is what I decided to wear today. I might be late to the party on this, but I've found my new favorite jeans, and they are the J.Crew Matchstick jean. They're not skin tight like a skinny jean (thought skin-tight jeans have their place in this world), but they aren't like an awkward boot cut, they're just perfect. I want another pair soon. AND they dont stretch and get weird by the end of the day. Perfection.

In case you even care, there are no christmas ornaments in that box. Only Nathan's paintings. I've been gettign afew comments on them as I begin to take pictures indoors. It's just too cold to go out without a big coat, He does sell his paintings, but beware, they are always paintings that make some sort of social point, they're not always just feel-good cutesy stuff. In fact, they almost never are. But thats something about Nathan I have always admired, his conviction to stand up for what's right. What a man.
Despite the fact that my face looks totally weird here, doesn't it kind of look like a crown of Dandilions around my head? How fun!

Here's the painting that crowing my head earlier. Isn't it neat? It was the first Christmas present Nathan ever gave. I think we had only been dating for about a month. It has a really sweet little letter written on the back of the canvas. Sometimes when I'm feeling blue, I take the painting off the wall and read it, then I feel better.
This was my valentines day present. It's a love pig! I know, it seems really strange a two-headed yellow pig, but let me explain. In Mexico, you can buy these little cerdito souvenirs. They're little piggy-banks that are painted with all sorts of beautiful colors. I have about... 1000 of them, I just love them. That's what this pictures is. Its a little bank, only it has two heads. The head with the mustache is Nathan, and I'm the one with rosy cheeks. It also has a cute little message. Gosh, I love my little paintings.
Well everyone, thats about it for me today. Since I didn't do anything school related yesterday, I should probably do some school related things today. Maybe not. Who knows. There are always so many fun things to do. Anyways, I hope you all have a great rest of your Friday, and an even better Saturday! See you soon!
