Wear Sunscreen

Oh. My. Gosh. So, I realize that I haven't posted anything since Easter Sunday. For that I do apologize, but wow. I've missed you like crazy. Sooooooo many life altering events have happened since I've last spoken to you. Needless to say, life was CRAZY!! So, here are some photos and videos in chronological order to catch you up. Lordy.

This fuzzy picture is a very unfortunate representation of one of the  highlights of my Jessup Career: The worship team that I had the privilege of leading/serving had the great privilege of leading worship for Francis Chan! If you're not aware of who Francis Chan is, I STRONGLY recommend you check out his website and read every little thing on there, buy all his books, take all his advice. Read the word, know Jesus, and disciple others. So simple, so strong. Also: I can't tell you enough how much I truly adored this team of people. I love love love this worship band. I already miss them so much.
My senior Recital! Remember how I told you that I was slaving away over the greatest labor of love? Well here it is. Also, my Grandma freaking made that dress for herself back in the day! Can you believe it? It's AMAZING! and to think: I almost put it up in the shop! Wow....

Oh yeah, and this: My freaking COLLEGE GRADUATION! I did it! I am now an educated citizen ready to be hired and serve the Lord in whatever capacity he calls me to. I've put in a few applications to various places, we'll see what happens!
Oh WJU leadership. Man, I love these people. Don't I kind of look like Squilliam Fancyson from Spongebob?
And then there was Choir tour. Since I'm as old as the day is new (and it's only 8:45, so it's pretty new), I was asked to drive the 12 passenger Van from CA to OR. If you know me, I drive a 98 Corolla, and I love it. I've never been the most confident driver, but I drove the road of adventure, and now I rock at driving. Choir Tour can now add "Conquer your fears" as things that you do. Check out Hwy 36 online if you ever get the chance. It's a scenic motorcycle drive... yeah, I did that in ginormous van. NBD.
Also, for those of you who didn't know, I served as the choir chaplain for the WJU music department. What an honor. This is a picture of my last devotion that I shared with the group. Needless to say, I couldn't make it without shedding a few tears. I so love this group. There are two young men picking up the baton to fill the position. Nick and Zoe. I believe in them so strongly, They're gonna do awesome!

And last but not least I finished super duper strong with straight A's my last semester. I don't think anything could sum up my 2 years at Jessup better than this scripture: Ephesians 3:20-21

20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

Hello everyone! Happy Friday! What a week of craziness! In the course of this week I have been slaving away over my senior recital, I have a 20th century American art piece that is so tough, but I'm gonna master it if its the last thing I do! Not to mention the bajillion Disney songs I'm trying to memorize before April. Wow, what a tough life.

This is what I decided to wear today. This top kind of reminds of me those prom dresses from the late 80's wearly 90's that Laura Winslow would wear. I think it's because of the trim around the bottom. But hey, I can't get enough of the beautious laciness of it.
 To answer your question, Yes. Those are Russian Nesting Dolls!! I'm slightly obsessed with nick-nacks from other countries. If you were to enter my apartment, you would see that I have quite the collection of Russian nesting dolls, and Cerdito piggy banks from Mexico. Also, I love the country of Mexico in general. If the Lord ever called me to full-time Mission work in Mexico, I would probably go, and I would apply to work at Rancho Sordo Mudo. Ironically the village where the ranch is at, has a strong Russian history...
 PS. I made this skirt. Also, I'm fully aware of the extreme lack of pigment in my skin. I'm white, and I never tan. I've come to accept this fact, after 4 years of high school trying desperately to get tan, and only getting extremely sunburnt...

not many pictures today, but thats because my camera is swiftly running out of betteries. I need to get more. Anyways, thats about it for me anyways. Happy Saturday everyone! It’s been quite a week for me! Back to school, and craziness abounding. I still have so much to do it’s sick, but that’s okay. I like being busy actually! I love being productive. I shipped off a few orders from my Etsy shop, and turned in my rented movie (wow… redbox gets expensive when life gets busy!), and last and most importantly… I have booked my Senior Recital. that’s right everyone. Everything I have to show my musical career as a music Student at William Jessup University will come to pass on May 5th in the William Jessup University Lecture Hall at 7:30pm. Wow… I really can’t wait.  It’s kind of ironic thinking that I have more time to plan this recital than I did to plan my own wedding! Haha.

Anyways, This is what I decided to wear today. The weather has taken a turn for the cold and windy. I mean… it is winter, so I guess that nice warm weather wasn’t going to last forever! Also... doesn't this look like something Adrian, Rocky Balboa's wife, would wear? Thats a plus for me. Also a plus,  I found a gigantic hole in the fence and ventured into the complex next door, and found even better scenery! Adventure!!



You can’t even really tell, but this dress is asymmetrical. It’s one of those mullet style dresses. It’s also short sleeved. But I covered it up with a sweater and a coat.





Aren’t these boots glorious? I decided that I was over my black over the knee boots, so I sold them at Freestyle. And Lo and behold, these beauteous boots came into the store. It was like they were waiting for me to need different boots. I couldn’t resist them.

Anywyas, that’s about it for me today. I really liked this picture spot, so on the days I’m not taking pictures at school, I might make this one of my regular locales. We’ll see. Well everyone, I hope your weekend is awesome! See you soon.

Owl is the grand and rather clever old man of the forest

Good morning everyone! I'ts offically Wednesday, the official middle of the week-day. I have finally started checking off things on my million-mile long to-do list. First two things: book a venue for my senior recital, and copy all of my music for my accompanist. For those of you who care enough, I'll give you info if you want to come. It's free! ha.

Anyways, this is what I decided to wear today. You cant tell by this picture, but there is a definite theme going, and you'll figure it out by the end of this post for sure:)

 It's a lazy day for make-up so the glasses are on. Also, it was too chilly this morning, and so I decided to take my pictrues inside. As you can see, I didn't take the garland down from Christmastime. Who says it has to be Christmas-y right? I really like it, so I'm gonna leave it!
 How could I possibly resist this sweater once I saw the back of it? I love love love owls! they are such cool animals! Did you know they are silent when they fly? they are like... these perfectly aero-dynamic creatures. I dont know. pretty sweet, and they'res so many different kinds! my personal favorite kind is the white barn owl, They have such beautiful faces. alright, enough Planet Earth geekery.



This outfit probably has more owly stuff than any other outfit I have ever worn. But why not wear what you love right? Nathan also shares this love of owls, so we decided to litter our entire apartment with owl stuff. Even our Wedding invites had owls...That Nathan hand-painted, from a painting that hangs on our wall.


Well everyone, thats about it for me today. Hope you enjoyed owlfest 2012. It's been a fun one! I'm going out for lunch today with the ever beautious, Rachel 2. I'm Rachel 1, only because I'm older. 2 Rachel freinds eating lunch together! how fun! Anyways, time for errands (real ones)!! See you soon.
