Workin' for the weekend

Hi everyone!! Just a few instas for you!! Life has been nuts!! The funny thing about teaching is... They say that the beginning of the year is really crazy, but then the year starts... It just gets crazier! I liken it to a train, once it's starts to speed up there's no slowin g it down.

The only difference between a speeding train and teaching high school students is that... You really super love the people you work with at school! Have I reminded you of how much I love my work?

Hello everyone!! Blogging again from my iPad today. Im currently at alliance redwood conference center on retreat with vcs!! It been amazing. It's crazy to think about what I do for a living. I am a teacher who gets to talk openly about Jesus, and not only that, but I get to pray for the young ladies who attend here. There is very little I have done in my life that has been more rewarding than get to tell the girls in my cabin that they can't possibly earn grace, that Jesus gives it freely, and the second they receive that grace, they are children of god, members of the body of Christ! Not to mention the rumors of the precious girls in choir singing our choir songs around camp!!! They're even singing David's Lamentation!! Look it up. It's not exactly your fun camp song.

Friday, Friday, Friday!!

Gosh!! Hello everyone!! Happy Friday!! I hope you're having a great day, I really am! I have had such a fantastic week. Have I said how much I love love LOVE what I do? It's awesome!! I have quite a few international students in my bible class from china. I count it as such a blessing to be able to unabashedly share Jesus with them!! I can't even tell you how much I love that part of my job. Sure the music part is great, but the Jesus part is really where it's at. Anyways, here's a few instagrams to hold you over for the week, because I'm sure you haven't seen enough!!

TGI casual Friday VCS style

Happy Friday to you all!! It's almost labor day weekend and I'm trying to type this blog on my iPad while walking down the staircase of our VCS campus!! Maybe not the wisest the decision, but you only get a few free minutes everyday. Anyways today is casual Friday, meaning I get to wear jeans!! Yay! Also, I have to wear my VCS sprint wear, so here i am totally wearing a full-on polo shirt.

I really have nothing against polo shirts, but for 3 years Ina row, that's all I was allowed to wear to school, So I think I just sub-consciously avoid them in the store.

Also, that clock is in AM folks... After getting ready for school!

Hello everyone!! Happy Monday to you! I've never been a hater of Mondays and I'm still not. In fact, now that summer is over and I have stuff to do... All the time, I'm starting to really like them! I'm thinking of starting an instagram post every week, probably Fridays. It's casual Friday at vcs, and I have to wear a vcs t- shirt with jeans. And I'm not complaining at all, any place that lets you dress comfy, I'm all about.. But you know me, if given the option, I'll always wear a dress.

Speaking of which this is what I decided to wear today. Isn't this the funnest dress you ever laid your eyes on? I love the colors!

First Week Finish

Hello everyone!! I did it! I have officially survived my first week of school as a high school teacher. Let me tell you. I.love.it. The faculty, the students, the subject I get to teach. I love it all. Probably the one thing I could live without is.... Having to lay down the hammer. But I'm figuring out how to conduct class so I have to do that less and less.

Also: this is really exciting, the students in my choir and myself, are arranging our own song to share with the pastors of our community, and also their grandparents. I would invite my grandma, but she lives too far away. Anyways, let's just keep it short and simple. I'm in love with teaching. It's all I can talk about these days!

This is obviously not what I wore today, I'm not in my classroom on a Saturday but here's what I wore yesterday. I'm looking for a camera with a self timer that actually take good pictures from my iPad. Any app suggestions?
