How can a train be lost? It's on rails

Dec 22, 2011

Hello everyone! Hope your week is going great! The weather here has been so nice! It's been so sunny and brisk and beautiful. Oh man, what a great week. Today I actually do have to go into work, but I don't mind it. For those of you who aren't aware, and I dont know why you would care so much, but i've been working at Kohls for the Holiday season. The customers are really super pleasant, even in the midst of holiday craziness. It's really low-stress, and the part I like the best is, unlike school, when I get home, I'm home! No homework!! Weird. It is kind of a weird feeling to not have homework. I feel like I should be doing work, but there's no work to be done!

Anyways, this is what I decided to wear today. It's pretty businessy for just being a cashier at Kohl's but hey, it never hurts to dress for success. I really love this skirt, it's really sure comfy with the elastic waistband and stuff. I was joking with a girlfriend of mine at Freestyle that we are prejudiced again F21 and H&M because we're so tired of seeing our closests filled with it, well... guess what: this striped sweater is H&M and the skirt is F21. Whatevs! If it's on trend, I'll buy it no matter the label. I'm a trend whore through and through.

Another day of full on make-up. I love having time in the morning! I also love having enough energy at night actually take care of my skin before I go to bed, for once, I'm not totally pooped by the end of the day. Having time and energy... what the!

Well everyone thats about it for me. I'm at shady with Erin, and I'm being totally rude by updating my blog and checking out my etsy activities. I've put a few new things in the store by the way. One thing has already been sold, so thats fun. Anyways, I hope you have a great day, I'll see you soon.

Here We Are On The Ocean Waves Floating Away

Hi everyone!! Hope your week is going awesome thus far, mines going pretty great. Mondays have all of the sudden become my favorite day of the work-week. Why is that you ask? Well, I'll tell you! I've dropped two classes because I don't need them to graduate (boo yah!), making my day on monday last from 8-930am! Which gives me a bajillion hours to do homework, and if I dont have homework, it gives me a bajillion hours to work on this blog and shop it up! If only I could be paid to shop it up and blog it up... Hooray!!

Anyways, this is not what I decided to wear today, this is what I decided to wear on Saturday over the weekend. I wore something totally different today. But let me comment on these little boots. Nathan put these on hold for me at Freestyle, and when I saw them, I knew in that instant that I was in love...with those boots.

Little kitty is guarding me. I did some investigative work and walked around the fence to see what he was guarding me from, and there was a huge/scary black cat with a huge head! Good thing Little Kitty was there!
I love this little nesting doll necklace, I've had it for quite a few years. I dont bring her out as much as I should. She has so much character! Her face is so sweet!

Oh yes, here is a closer view of my boots. Thanks wubby!!

From the moment I met little kitty, I was pretty much in love. I wasn't sure if Nathan was totally sold yet, but I bought him some food and left it outside for him so if he wanted to stop by, he could have a little snack...well I had to being the food inside and here's why... a possum!! Scary! He ate every single little bit of food!! I didn't buy that catfood for him! Rude.
Well everyone, thats about it for me today. I'm thinking about doing a post on how to dress appropriately for various occasions, and why modesty is always a good idea. If you have any thoughts or questions, I would love to hear them!! Have a great day everyone. I'll see you soon!!

Watching the rain outside the window

Jun 1, 2011

Happy first day of June, also known as my most favoritist month! I am very confused by this weather, I have to say. This is California! We're supposed to have sunny sunshine! It really does make getting dressed difficult, as I have VERY successfully gotten rid of ALL of my warmer clothes, and have ZERO desire to wear jeans (seeing as I literally have 2 pairs of blue jeans, holey and non holey). I just wanna wear dresses for the next 90 days non-stop. I've garnered up quite a glorious collection of vintage beauties, but they just hang in my closet waiting for the sun to come out. Oh the anticipation...

Anyways, if thats the hardest thing in life, then I should shut my mouth right?! I mean seriously. Everything else in life rocks. Ie: I found Harry Potter: The Half Blood Prince for $9 at Target. No more asking my friends to borrow theirs! Also, because of Freestyle, despite my lack of monies, I can feed my shopping habit by selling clothes I no longer feel like wearing. Also! My little brother's gf, Mandi, graduated from High School, and her par-tay is going to be sooo fun. I love that little woman! And once fall comes around, She and my brother can finally be closer than 6 hours apart. She's going to BIOLA... I'm so proud!!! So, no ocmplaining about the weather allowed.

Anyways, This is what I wore today:
This is one of the only dresses I have in my closet that I bought brand new. Its about...2 years old. It's a pretty special dress. It's one of the few items of clothing that I am emotionally attached to becasue I got engaged in this dress!!
We got engaged at Disneyland at Snow White's Wishing Well in 2009... I was sooo surprised. Look my wubby's legs! Daaang!

One this that I really love about this dress, is it's versatility. It's summery because its strapless and short, and knit, but the colors and the pattern make it so seay to wear in the colder months. Just throw on tights and a sweater and POW!

This fence has serious nails in it. You can kinda see them in the picture. I have to be really careful when you lean up against it.
UGH! The colors and the pattern of this dress are really what drew me to it. It just tsuck out among the rest of the loud trends at the H&M in Washington DC. What a great city! Am I right or am I right? I freaking love America.
These boots were a Christmas gift from my wubby:) Man... He has a way with shoes. Seriously. I love that man, more than I love America.
Well everyone, thats about it for me today. I'm sitting near the loudest talker ever at Starbucks. She was talking about her break-up and then some girl-fight, then who knowswhat else. I know all the names of her friends, and all of her favorite swear-words. Someone help me. I'll probably go on over the freestyle, there are two vintage dooneys with my name on them. I'm actually not joking at all... they're on hold for me. Until next time...

See you soon!!

OH!!! PS!! If you go to Yelp and write a loving review about Freestyle, mention you heard about this place from Rachel Parrish on Parrish the Thought!! You won't be sorry:) Click on the word Yelp, and it'll take you righ there!!
